|Filing Management - Customize List|
This will restore the profiles database on the PC with the same list of profiles prior to the R4.0 installation.
The Filing Management database has changed, so a user cannot use the R3.0 version of the database. You can avoid having to retrieve all your submitted filings on more than one PC by performing the following steps:
This will populate the filings database on those other PC's with the same list of filings as on the first PC.
The following has been prepared to remind you of important formatting and filing requirements, which are outlined in Section 7 of the SEDAR Filer Manual.
Acceptable formats for documents filed on SEDAR
Further to section 7.2(b) of the SEDAR Filer Manual, the following is the current list of acceptable formats for SEDAR documents:
Filers are also reminded that Object Linking and embedding (OLE) applications must not be used to incorporate information from a non-word processing software application such as Microsoft Excel, Lotus 123 or Quattro Pro. For more deta, please refer to section 7 of the SEDAR Filer Manual.
If component text or material (including graphic or image material) that was originally created in a non-acceptable electronic format is to be included in a document to be filed electronically, the text or material must be converted to acceptable electronic format prior to, or at the time of, insertion into the document.
For example, a financial statement prepared using a spreadsheet should not be embedded or linked in a word processing file without first being converted to the acceptable electronic format.
Microsoft Word 97 (Office 97)
Only MS Word files saved in true Word 6.0/95 binary format are acceptable as documents within the SEDAR filing system.
If you are using Word 97 please ensure that the Word 6.0/95 Binary converter has been applied to your MS Office 97/MS Word 97 program, or that your version of MS Office 97/MS Word 97 supports this correct conversion.
The MS Word Binary Converter is available at:
This converter allows MS Word 97 documents to be saved in a true binary file format with a .doc extension.
Please note that the original Word 6.0/95 converter that was shipped with Microsoft Office 97 saved Word 97 documents as Rich Text Format (RTF) which is not an acceptable SEDAR format.
Please contact your technical staff before proceeding with any software updates.
When to use 'Other' to attach documents to a filing
When submitting documents on SEDAR, be sure to select the appropriate document type from the list and attach the document. Only in those exceptional cases, where a document that is not on the appropriate document list, should 'Other' be used with the 'Add Document' feature and a specific description of the document identified.
