Becoming a Filing Service Subscriber

Accessing the SEDAR Helpdesk

In order to provide a better level of support and service the SEDAR Helpdesk phone system is being upgraded. This upgrade will take place during the weekend of May 10th.


There will be a 1 hour service interruption between 6pm and 7pm (EST) on Friday, May 9 in order for Bell Canada to complete their work. During this time, access to the SEDAR Helpdesk will not be available. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause.



SEDAR Secondary Filer


On Monday, May 26, 1997, we will implement Release 2.3, which adds increased functionality to the SEDAR application.


The principal (Primary) filer of a SEDAR project will now be able to specify additional (Secondary) contributors to the project. Depending on the level set by the Primary Filer, a Secondary Filer will be granted access at one of four levels:


C none - no access to the project (This is the default access which is established when a Secondary Filer is created.);

C view - ability to observe the filing;

C retrieve - ability to view and download those documents already submitted for the filing; and

C submit - ability to retrieve and make an attachment of documents and fees to the filing.


The packages containing the new SEDAR Release 2.3 Disks and the SEDAR Release Notes are expected to arrive to the SEDAR Filing Service Subscribers by Friday, May 23, 1997. It is important to note that as of the morning of Monday, May 26, 1997, the SEDAR Server may only be accessed after the SEDAR Release 2.3 Disks have been installed.
